It all began with a simple act of tidying—sorting through an old sewing box and folding scraps of cloth. As my children grew and left the nest, I found myself looking for a way to fill the quiet spaces they left behind. I discovered that a needle and thread could do more than just mend fabric; they could help mend a heart transitioning into a new chapter of life.
What started as simple felt hearts and small flowers soon blossomed into an inspiration for something more: the creation of Keca dolls.
Born in the tranquility of the Jones County countryside, Keca by Carmel is deeply inspired by the traditions and beauty of Georgia—a place where "heaven lands." As a mother and a grandmother, I still carry the spirit of the child I once was. Through these dolls, that little girl continues to express herself, creating whimsical companions designed to spark creativity and inspire imagination in others.
